This project consisted of the partial renovation of an existing rental unit to update and clean-up the unit layout and finishes. Demolition of existing cabinets, walls and flooring. New Studded walls, insulation, electrical. Floor levelling and flooring installed throughout. New Cabinets, counter and backsplash.
This condo unit experienced severe water damage. A third party remediation team under instruction from the condo board executed the remediation and JIL Construction was engaged post remediation. Complete removal of any existing kitchen cabinets, flooring and debris. All new kitchen cabinets, quartz countertop, panelled fridge door and upgrade lighting and under cabinet lighting. Updated bathroom fixtures and cabinet. New closet doors and hardware throughout the unit. Continuous vinyl plank flooring complete with sound deadening underlay.
The creation of an additional bathroom by opening a doorway into crawlspace and underpining the foundations to match the same floor elevation as the existing basement. New below and above grade plumbing, with in-floor hydronic radiant heating and concrete slab. Natural stone tile surround with curbless shower entry and glass partition.
